The police have recovered the body of a missing youth from a pond in the city's Sordaganj area on Saturday morning.
The deceased, Ripon Kazi, went missing on Thursday.
Joydebpur police outpost In-Charge Jakir Hossain said: “Ripon went missing on Thursday night. His family members filed a general diary in this connection on Friday.
“The locals noticed his body floating in a pond near his house around 8am on Saturday and informed the police.”
The police suspected that he might have been killed over previous enmity.
“No injury marks were seen in his body. So it is being suspected that he was strangled,” added the police officials.
