A Chittagong court has acquitted 10 accused of a murder case, including an expelled Jubo League leader, as they were found not guilty.
Chittagong Speedy Trial tribunal Judge Reza Tarek Ahmed passed the order on Tuesday.
Public Prosecutor Ayub Ali confirmed the Dhaka Tribune about the acquittal.
Earlier in 1996, a BNP activist, Azad, was killed as miscreants opened fire on a procession.
A murder case was filed against a total of 11 persons, including ex-Jubo League leader Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babar, for their alleged involvement with the incident.
