Customs officials at the Shah Amanat International Airport have recovered 40 gold bars worth Tk1.80 crore from a plane of Bangladesh Biman.
Officials recovered the gold bars in an abandoned state under the seats of a plane, around 6:40am on Thursday.
Chittagong Customs House Assistant Commissioner Shahdat Jamil said: “The plane arrived at the airport from Abu Dhabi around 6am in the morning.”
“Later, the customs officials recovered the bars weighing 4.50kg while searching the plane. No one has been detained in this connection,” he said.
