The police, in a drive, have detained a youth with a pistol from his residence in Ratnai Maradhar village under Baliadanga upazila in Thakurgaon.
The detainee is Abdur Rahim, 23, son of Abdur Mannan of the same village.
Acting on a tip off, the police raided the house and detained him with a foreign pistol early Wednesday.
Baliadanga police station Sub-Inspector Joglol Ahmed said: “A case has been filed againt Rahim with the police station.”
