Mystery has arisen surrounding the disappearance of an army man who went missing in Magura on Wednesday.
Razia Begum, wife of missing Bakulur Rahman from Ambolshor village in the district's Sreepur upazila, said he had come home on a four-day leave on Tuesday and left for the Jessore Education Board the next day to collect his secondary school certificate.
He has not since return and his mobile phone was found switched off.
It is not clear what has happened to him.
His wife expressed fear that he might have been abducted.
When contacted, Sreepur police station Officer-in-Charge Md Awlad Hossein said they had received a general diary in this regard. “We are trying our best to trace him,” he said.
