A youth has been detained along with a foreign pistol from the city's Tutpara area early Monday.
The detainee is Ripon Sheikh, son of Amzad Sheikh, of the area.
Sub Inspector Alamgir Hossain of Khulna Sadar police station said: “The police held Ripon around 1am, while he along with two other youths was roaming around the area.”
“When the police challenged them, two youths fled the spot. But, the police held Ripond and recovered a foreign pistol from his possession.”
A case has been filed in this connection, said the police.
