The Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) personnel have recovered 57crude bombs and 2kgs of gun powder from Octroy intersection in Rajshahi.
RAB 5 Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mirza Golam Sarwar said: “Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB members recovered 57 crude bombs and 2kgs of gun powder inside a bag in an abandoned condition during a raid in the area around 1am on Sunday.”
The crude bombs might be stored to create violence in the area during the hartal hours, he added.
RAB, however, could not arrest anybody in this connection.
