A housewife has been beaten to death allegedly by her in-laws at Kadakati village under Ashashuni upazila of Satkhira on Friday.
The deceased is Jharna Das, wife of Haradhan Das, of the village.
Ahsan Habib, officer-in-charge of Ashashuni police station, said: “Locals informed that Jharna’s father-in-law Surya Kanta Das, mother-in-law and brother-in-law Sadhan Kumar Das used to torture her often over family feud.”
“On Friday morning, they beat up Jharna over a trifling matter, leaving her dead on the spot.”
Being informed, the police recovered the body and arrested Surya and Sadhan in this connection.
