Police have detained a person with Tk57.92 lakh from the Chittagong court building premises in Chittagong.
The detainee is Md Eliash, 32, hailing from Kasba of Brahmanbaria district.
Mohiuddin Selim, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kotwali police station, said police detained the person before the Chittagong Court annex building for his suspicious activity while he was entering the building.
Later, police recovered Tk57.92 lakh from his possession that were kept inside a bag, said the OC.
Police were interrogating the person about the source of the money and verifying his identity, said the OC.
