Following statement of one arrestee, police have recovered Tk10 lakh more in the Joypurhat Brac Bank heist case.
Senior Chief Judicial Magistrate Abdullah Al Amin Bhuiya yesterday granted 9-day remand against the eight persons held in connection with the case so far.
Joypurhat police station Officer-in-Chrage Abdur Rashid said on Friday night they recovered the money from one arrestee Sheikh Iqbal alias Iku’s house in Kushtia following his statement.
So far, police have recovered Tk75 lakh out of the Tk1.95 crore that was looted on September 27 from the vault of Brac Bank’s Joypurhat branch.
