I have told to the probe body on the Narayanganj seven murders what I knew as an organisation chief and what kind of action I took, said Director General of the elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Mokhlesur Rahman.
The elite force chief made the statement while talking to journalists after being quizzed on Narayanganj seven murders by the probe body.
However, he declined to say what he was asked.
The RAB chief made no comments when he was asked that he knew RAB’s involvement in the seven murders in Narayanganj.
The quizzing ended at 4:30pm that started at 2:30pm, said the probe body chief, also the Public Administration Ministry Additional Secretary, Shahjahan Ali Mollah.
When Mollah was asked what the probe body has quizzed the RAB DG.
He said: “What he has said we have recorded and will be published in the probe body report.”
The report findings is now at the final stage and will be published very soon, he added.
The quizzing was held at Shahjahan Ali Mollah's secretariat office in the capital after the RAB boss arrived at the office.
On Sunday, the RAB chief was served notice to join the interrogation of the seven-member probe body.
On April 27, Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam, three of his aides and driver, and senior lawyer Chandan Sarkar and his driver were kidnapped from the Dhaka-Narayanganj Link Road.
Three days later, six bodies were found floating in River Shitalakkhya.
The seventh body was recovered from the river the next day.
