Railway Nirapatta Bahini (RNB) has nabbed an employee of Bangladesh Railway (East Zone) and two women with two train tickets of eight seats of Dhaka-bound inter-city train Subarna Express for October 2.
RNB (General) Chief Inspector Anwar Hossain of Chittagong Railway Station said the RNB personnel nabbed one Mohammad Firoz, labourer of BR (East) signal department, and two women, who were hired to purchase train tickets standing in the queue before the station’s ticket counter in exchange for money, from Chittagong Railway Station around 12:30pm on Saturday.
Later, the two women were released after signing into a bond while BR (East) authorities would take departmental action against Firoz, he said.
From Friday, BR opened selling of advanced tickets of different trains of different destinations ahead of Eid-ul-Azha and Durga Puja.
Commuters were making a crowd to purchase tickets of eight trains from Chittagong Railway Station.
