The police have held a youth along with a foreign pistol from the Khulna city's Pather Bazar checkpoint.
The detainee is Manirul Islam Mollah, 27, son of Jainal Mollah, of Jessore district.
Khan Jahan Ali police station Officer-in-Charge Md Humayun Kabir said: “A team of police held Manirul around 10pm, while searching a Khulna-bound auto-rickshaw from Fultola.”
“A foreign pistol, two rounds of bullets and a magazine have been recovered from his possession.”
A case was filed in this connection.
The police suspected that Manirul has involvement with arms trading.
