A mobile court of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) yesterday caught three persons of a fake employment agency and jailed them for one year at Bijoynagar in the capital.
The convicts are Meraj Hossain Tusher, 27, son of Rahim Hawlader, Shahidul Alam, 28, son of Ansar Ali, and Suborna Akhter, 21, daughter of Fazlul Haque. Details of them could not be known immediately.
Executive Magistrate Anwar Pasha and Rab-3’s Major Kamran Kabir Uddin led the court.
The court fined the trio Tk 200000 in all and warned them of serving three more months in jail in case of their failure to make the payment.
