A “gunfight” between police and terrorist gang of Solaiman Uddin Jishan took place at Amani Lakshmipur village in Lakshmipur on Sunday as the gang hurled crude bombs to the police car.
Officer-in-Charge of Chadraganj police station Nur Muhammad told to the Dhaka Tribune that the gunfight continued from 5pm to 11pm.
After the gunfight, police recovered two sacks of crude bombs and explosives from Amani Lakshmipur and Bepari Bari at Baliadhar village of Chatkhil in a drive conducted in the area.
Three persons were detained for their alleged involvement with the gunfight and confiscation of explosives.
