An drug addict has allegedly killed his father, wife and daughter at Brahmangaon in Dakhkhin Sunamganj upazila yesterday.
The deceased were identified as Alahuddin, 70, his daughter-in-law Beauty Begum, 32, and her daughter Amina Begum, 2, of the village.
Al Amin, officer-in-charge of Dakhkhin Sunamganj police station said the alleged killer, Alfu Mia, 45, had an altercation with his father, Ala Uddin, around 10pm where he refused to pay him some money.
At one stage, Alfu attacked his father and stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot.
Alfu also killed his wife, Beauty, and daughter, Amina, as Beauty resisted him and tried to save Alauddin.
On information, police arrested Alfu and recovered the bodies. Quoting locals OC said, Alfu is a drug addict and also suffers from psychological disorders.
