Members of the Rapid Action Battalion yesterday dug out a huge amount of ammunition from a bunker in the Satchhari hill of Chunarughat upazila.
The 15-sack armoury included 112 rocket-propelled grenades and rocket chargers, said RAB’s Media Wing Commander Mufti Mahmud Khan in a press briefing held on the spot.
He said a tipped-off RAB 9 team conducted a drive at Tripura Palli of the area and recovered the sophisticated arms and ammo stored in an underground bunker on the homestead of a person named Ajit Das Barma.
A case was filed in this connection.
On June 3 and September 3, RAB recovered arms and ammunitions from the same area. Two cases were filed in connection with the incidents.
