A Chittagong court has granted five days remand to four persons including wife of the deceased judge of Naogaon in connection with the murder of Additional District Session Judge Kazi Abdul Hasib Mohammad Sayeed.
The Fourth Metropolitan Court Magistrate, Nowrin Akhter Kakon, passed the order while police pleaded for 10-day remand on Wednesday.
The remanded accused are the deceased’s wife Sanjida Ahmed Mishu, 19, mother-in-law Laki Akhter, 38, brother-in-law Imran Hossain, 21, and domestic help Rima, 15, of his in-law’s residence, said Sub-Inspector Mohammad Oliullah of Halishahar police station also the investigation officer of the case.
Earlier on Wednesday, Halishahar police station Sub-Inspector Mukul Mia lodged a murder case accusing Sanjida, Laki, Imran, Rima and absconding father-in-law Nasir Ahmed of the judge and some unidentified persons in connection with the murder at his second wife’s residence at Mollapara area in the city on Tuesday evening.
