Police recovered a body of a child around 11 years, from a field on road number 13 of Chandrima Housing of the Mohammadpur area in the capital on Monday.
The child could not be identified immediately.
Sub-Inspector of Mohammadpur police Ali Jahan told the Dhaka Tribune: “The deceased bore several injury marks on his body. He was wearing a T-shirt and his lungi was tied around his neck.”
SI Komol Krishno Saha on being informed said they recovered the body around 8pm on that day and sent it to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital morgue yesterday.
A case of unnatural death was filed by the police.
