Miscreants have taken away Tk30 lakh shooting a bKash agent at Tongi in Gazipur.
Victim Nizam Uddin, 30, was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in a critical condition.
The incident took place at BSCIC crossing at Tongi around 2:30pm on Sunday.
Locals said a group of muggers intercepted Nizam, a local agent of bKash, who was on his way to a bank around 2:30pm to deposit the money.
The miscreants shot Nizam while he resisted the muggers and snatched away the bag with money, they said.
Locals rushed him to Tongi Sadar Hospital where doctors referred him to DMCH as his condition was critical.
Shahana Jamir, sub-inspector of Khilgaon police station said they heard about the incident.
"Police will take necessary measures after case filing," she added.
