The Detective Branch (DB) of police on Thursday night arrested four fake DB men from the eastern toll plaza area of Bangabandhu Bridge in Tangail.
The detained were Shahjahan Howlader alias Bachchu Sikdar ,40, Mohammad Younis Khan, 50, Joy Mahmud, 32, and Kibria Khan, 40.
Golam Mahfijur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Tangail DB police said: “Acting on a tipped off, a team of DB police conducted a drive at the eastern toll plaza area of Bangabandhu Bridge around 9pm.
“Later, the four along with a NOAH microbus, fake DB police dresses, a walkie-talkie, two handcuffs and fake notes worth Tk8000 from their possession,” he added.
“The detainees were sent to district DB police office for further investigation,” he added.
