Police, in a special drive, have arrested 56 persons accused in various cases in Kushtia.
During the raid, the law enforcers also recovered one LG, 4 crude bombs, 45 pieces of yaba tablets and 5kg of cannabis.
Kushtia Police Super Proloy Chishim said: “Police conducted a raid started from Saturday night till Sunday morning and arrested 56 accused in various cases in Kushtia.”
Among them, 7 accused are under Kushtia sadar police station, 5 are under Kumarkhali police station, 11 are under Veramara police station, 12 are under Mirpur police station, 20 are under Doulatpur police station and 1 under Islami university police station, he said.
The accused were sent to Kushtia court, he added.
