Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested another member of RAB-11 for his alleged involvement in the Narayanganj seven murders case.
The arrestee was identified as Purnendu Bala, sub-inspector of RAB-11, reports UNB.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-2 arrested him from Tejgaon around 1:25pm on Friday.
On April 27, Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam, his three associates and driver were abducted from Fatullah area in Narayanganj city.
Three days after their abduction, the bodies of six people, including those of Nazrul and Chandan, were recovered from the Shitalakkhya River on April 30.
Besides, the body of Jahangir, car driver of Nazrul Islam, was recovered from the river on May 1.
Three former RAB officials, including Lt Col Tareque, Major Arif Hossain and Lt Commander MM Rana, who were arrested earlier, confessed to their involvement in the sensational seven murders.
