A case has been filed over Thursday's shooting in Khilgaon area that left a youth dead and his father wounded.
Mujibur Rahman, uncle of the deceased filed the case against three to four unidentified persons, Khilgaon police station Sub Inspector Alauddin told the Dhaka Tribune.
However, none was arrested in this connection till filing of the report.
Earlier in the day, police authorities withdrew the Officer-in-charge of Khilgaon police station Sirajul Islam Sheikh on allegations of work negligence centring the armed mugging.
On Thursday, a group of muggers shot a father and his son and looted Tk48 lakh from them from Tilpa Para area under Khilgaon police station in the capital.
The deceased was Saimon Hossain, 32, son of Israil Hossain, 60, who also received injuries in the attack.
