Stalkers physically abuse female students in Mirpur

The victims, both 17, are students of Mirpur BCIC College. Principal of the college Masudur Rahman said the incident took place around 11am when the two were returning home from the college. Some local youths, who were hanging out at a shop on the pavement in front of the college, were calling them ‘Farm Chickens’. When the girls protested it, two youths named Babu and Jibon beat them with a bamboo and left the spot. “Later, we rescued the girls and informed police,” said Masudur. They were taken to the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation. Father of the victims filed a complaint with Shah Ali police station. Anwar Hossain, officer-in-charge of the police station, confirmed the incident.
