The Liberation War Affairs Ministry has cancelled freedom fighters’ certificates of 31 officials as they were proved false in the investigation.
The liberation war affairs ministry has issued a gazette notification regarding the matter on Sunday.
According to the gazette, it was proved that those officials who have taken temporary certificates from the ministry are not real freedom fighters.
The persons include Sylhet District Registry Office Chief Assistant Md Masudul Haque, BIWTA official Md Alauddin, Chittagong Port former Security Inspector Foyez Kabir, assistant teacher of Norerkanda Primary School Abdur Rouf Mollah, assistant teacher of Soratoil Primary School Md Matiyar Rahman, assistant teacher of West Shahpur Primary School Md Muhiuddin Morol, Headmaster of Badarghata Primaray School Khogendra Nath Saha, Md Hafizur Rahman, Wali Ahmed, Dr Minal Kanti Mitra, Local Government Engineering Department Project Director SM Selim, Public Health Engineering Department Executive Engineer Md Sirajul Islam, Chittagong Tax Area 3 official Alamgir Kabir Chowdhury, Benapole Customs House Tax Officer Md Nazmul Kabir, Dhaka Customs, Excise, VAT Commission Tax Officer Begum Nilufa Sultana, Nobabganj Upazila Health Complex former accountant Abdul Mannan, Faridpur Road Sub-Department 1 Deputy Assistant Engineer KM Abul Hossain, Public Administration Joint Secretary M Mahbubul Alam, Kapasia Food Storage Food Inspector Md Abdul Malek, Md Abdur Rouf, Chittagong District SI Niranjan Kumar Roy, Narshingdi Upazila Agricultural Office official Md Asaduzzaman, Krishi Bhaban retired official Manisha Ranjan Roy, Bangladesh Water Development Board Executive Engineer Md Saidur Rahman, AKM Ataul Islam, Chittagong Port Chief Assistant Khan Sirajul Islam, SM Alauddin, Gazipur Sub-Registrar Jasim Uddin Md Toufik Elahi and Bangladesh Bank Executive Director Md Abdul Hamid.
