A schoolgirl was rescued yesterday from Rangpur after three after being abduction in Savar, outskirts of Dhaka.
According to police sources, three youths-Nishat, Milon and Mohammad Ali abducted Runa in Baipal area while she was returning home from a coaching centre.
Later, the youths demanded Tk3 lakh as ransom over the phone from Runa’s father.
Then, the father of the girl filed a case accusing the youths.
On a tip-off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and rescued the girl from house of Milon.
The police also arrested four people in this connection.
