The police have recovered the body of an unidentified woman from Ashulia's Tongibari area on Saturday afternoon.
Locals said they had noticed the body of the woman, aged about 22 years, in a bamboo bush in the morning and informed the police.
Ashulia police station Officer-in-Charge Sheikh Badrul Alam said: “Being informed, the police recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. Injury marks have been found in the body of the young woman.”
“The police suspected that she might have been raped. However, nothing can be said before getting the autopsy report.”
