A four-month pregnant woman was killed as a microbus hit her while she was crossing road in Rampura Bridge area in the capital around 5:15pm on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Nahida Sultana, 25, wife of Rana Ahmed, residents of Aftabnagar project area under Badda.
Haider Ali, The acting in-charge of Dhaka Medical College outpost, said she was on the way back home along with her husband after medical check-up. When they were crossing the road in the Rampura Bridge area, she fall behind. At that time a speeding microbus hit her.
Injured Nahida was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital immediately, where the doctor declared her dead.
