A youth has been stabbed to death and another has been injured by snatchers at Satnal Bridge area in Monirampur upazila on Sunday midnight. The deceased was identified as Raju Ahmed, 26, son of Atier Rahman of Kaziara village in the upazila, BSS reported. Mizanur Rahman Khan, Officer-in-charge of Monirampur Thana said, the victim Raju and his elder brother Sumon Hossen were returning their house from Monirampur on riding motorcycle. The miscreants halted them and stabbed indiscriminately with sharp weapons when they reached at Satnal Bridge at 12:30 am.
The snatchers looted cash and other valuables, leaving them seriously injured. Later, locals rescued them and rushed to Jessore 250-bed Hospital where Raju succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning. A case was filed with Monirampur police station in this connection.
