A Narayanganj court has placed Ali Muhammad, the bodyguard of Nur Hossain, the prime suspect in the seven murder case, on a six-day remand.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Monwara Begum passed the order on Sunday.
The order came after he was produced before the court with a ten-day remand prayer on completion of his six-day remand on Sunday afternoon.
Ali Muhammad was arrested from Brahmanbaria on Saturday morning by the DB police.
Narayanganj City Corporation panel mayor, along with six others was abducted on April 27.
Later, their bodies were found floating in River Shitalakkhya on April 30.
Nazrul's wife filed an abduction case against Nur and four others on April 28.
On June 14, police arrested Nur Hossain with three of his accomplices in Kaliakair area under Baguhati police station of Kolkata.
