A man was stabbed to death by some youths over previous enmity in Nabogram area under Sadar upazila of Comilla district on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Janu Mia, 45, son of late Kanu Mia of the area.
Locals said there had been a long standing enmity between victim Janu Mia’s son Jamal Hossain and Sher Ali’s son Rocky following a disputed over smuggling.
On Tuesday, Rocky and his companions ransacked the house of Janu Mia and stabbed Janu indiscriminately around 9:30pm, leaving him critically injured.
Later, Janu succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital around 10pm.
Police sent the body to Comilla Medical College morgue for autopsy.
Kotwali police station Officer-in-Charge Mohiuddin Mahmud said additional police have been deployed to avoid further incidents.
A case was filed in this connection.
