The police have arrested a schoolboy for slapping his female classmate and posting a video clip containing the scene of slapping on a Facebook fan page “Moja Loss”.
The arrest has been made after identifying the stalker by watching the video clip, said police.
"We captured the juvenile from Purbachal City area on Sunday night for slapping his female classmate. The stalker has been identified by watching the the video clip on Facebook page [Moja Loss] where the boy was seen slapping the girl," said assistant commissioner Masruf Hossain of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). A picture of slapping the girl was first posted on the Facebook page on December last and later the video was posted and shared through the popular social media network.
The DMP assistant commissioner first saw the video post on the Facebook fan page “Moja Loss” while he was in Japan and decided to arrest the boy after returning home.
Later, a case was lodged in this regard with Khilkhet police station. However, police did not disclose the identity of the arrestee. “The boy was arrested with the help of one of the admin panel members of Moja Loss,” he added.
