Another illegal medicine factory has been busted in the capital. A huge quantity of various medicines has been seized and several people detained.
A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) busted the factory Green Life Herbal on Wapda road, Rampura on Monday morning.
Executive Magistrate Sharif Mohammad Farhad Hossain, officials of the drugs administration and RAB 10 hauled a huge quantity of medicine from the unit.
The factory has been manufacturing various fake medicines for five years, Sharif said. “The factory has been sealed. Several people have been detained.”
The drive to crack down on illegal medicine factories was underway and will continue, the magistrate told the Dhaka Tribune in the afternoon.
Earlier this week, an illegal medicine factory in Babubazar and another in Mohammadpur was busted and sealed off.
