A case has been filed with Satkania police station on Tuesday morning over a Jubo League activist killing.
Alam, victim Hasan’s uncle, has lodged the case in the morning mentioning 22 people named and 10 to 12 people unnamed.
Satkania police station Officer-in-Charge Khaled Hossain has confirmed this to the Dhaka Tribune.
Most of the named people are the members of Jamaat-Shibir, the OC said.
Some Jamaat-Shibir men allegedly hacked and shot a Jubo League activist to death in Satkania upazila on Sunday evening over political dispute.
Khaled Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Satkania police station, said that some armed Jamaat-Shibir men attacked on Hasan at Fultola Bazar area at around 7:15pm and hacked him indiscriminately while they shot him during fleeing from the area sensing the presence of the locals.
Later, he was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for better treatment where he succumbed to his injuries, he said.
Mohammad Jubayer, convener of Sechchhasebak League of Satkania upazila unit, claimed that local Jamaat-Shibir men were involved with the killing while Jamaat-Shibir refuted the allegation.
