A group of miscreants have looted a jewellery shop in Feni after exploding at least 50 crude bombs on Saturday evening.
Some 500 tolas of gold ornaments were robbed from Amin Jewelers located on Khaza Nazim Uddin Road leading to Trunk Road in the town, shop owner’s son Rumel said.
“Some 8-10 masked miscreants created panic blasting some 50 crude bombs on Khaza Nazim Uddin Road and its surrounding areas, vandalised the shop and looted over 500 tolas of gold. Later, they fled the scene quickly.”
Additional Police Super of Feni Saiful Haq told the Dhaka Tribune: “Upon receiving information, police and RAB visited the shop. We are trying to find out the criminals with the help of CCTV footage.”
A CID team of Chittagong is on the way to the spot to investigate into the matter, he added.
