The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) men have arrested a terrorist with four crude bombs and locally made seven Ramdas (sword-type weapons) at Porahati village under Jhenaidah Sadar upazila on Saturday evening.
The arrestee was identified as Mithu Mia, 25, son of late Somsher Ali of the village. He was a wanted accused in a case filed with Jhenaidah police station.
Squadron Leader Faisal Ahmed, commander of RAB camp in Jhenaidah, said acting on a tip-off, a contingent of the RAB made drives at the house of Mithu and arrested him. At the time, the RAB personnel seized the crude bombs and other local weapons.
Later, the arrestee was handed over to local police, he said adding, a case was filed in this connection.
