A gang of robbers steal gun, money and valuables from the house of a former BNP leader at the Noymile area under Shahjahanpur upazila in the district early on Friday.
Atahar Ali, the former vice-president of the upazila BNP, said the robbers stormed into his house after breaking the doors and tied up his family members with rope. Later, they looted his licensed gun, Tk5 lakh in cash and 30 tolas of gold ornaments.
“The gang comprised of 7-8 men, as far as could be seen in the night,” he said.
ASP Gaziur Rahman of the media cell of Bogra police confirmed the news of robbery. However, no case was lodged in this connection till filing the report at 12pm.
