The dead boy of a drug peddler was recovered from a roadside in the port city of Chittagong late on Tuesday night, police said.
Mohammad Noyon, 30, was the drug peddler of Barisal Colony, the drug-selling hub of the city, Akbar Shah police Officer-in-Charge Abdul Majid said.
The body of Noyon was found from near Golpahar area adjoining Ispahani Rail Gate around 9:10pm, he said. The victim was hacked to death.
“Noyon, along with his nephew, were attacked while they were faring through the area on a motorbike,” the OC said citing locals.
“The nephew fled from the spot with the vehicle,” he added. Police suspected that the murder was committed motivated from previous enmity.
No one was nabbed and no case was lodged in this regard.
