Miscreants murdered the security guard of British American Tobacco regional office in Joypurhat and robbed Tk66 lakh on early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Abul Kalam Azad, 45.
Abdur Rashid, officer-in-charge of Joypurhat police station, said miscreants entered the office in between 1am to 3am and murdered Azad to rob the office.
“We are trying to identify the criminals as soon as possible,” he added.
None has been arrested till filing the report at 1:30pm.
