Three crude bombs were set off at the auditorium of the National Press Club in Dhaka, Friday afternoon, minutes before a meeting called in by expelled Jatiya Party leader Kazi Zafar Ahmed.
Presidium Member of the JP faction SMM Alam said: “The explosions occurred sometime around 2pm when supporters of Kazi Zafar were making their last-minute preparations for the meeting.”
At least two were injured in the explosion, witnesses said.
The leaders of the faction of the JP alleged that government “goons” had set off those crude bombs in order to foil the council.
