Police nabbed four people with arms ahead of what police said a preparation for robbery in Ukhia upazila, Cox’s Bazar early on Sunday.
A local gun and three sharp weapons were seized from them, said police. They were detained in a raid conducted in Paglir Bil area.
Ukhia police Officer-in-Charge Gias Uddin Mia said the raid was conducted upon a tip-off. He provided the identities of those nabbed.
They are: Mohammad Sharif, 26, Mohammad Shafique, 19, Jahangir, 20, and Abdus Shukkur, 25.
Preparations were on to file a report against them, the OC added.
