Some assailants chopped a college teacher to death near the Sadar police station in the city on Monday nigh
The deceased was identified as Ziauddin Sarker, math teacher at a local college.
Gaziur Rahman, media cell in-charge of Bogra police station, told the Dhaka tribune that a gang of assailants suddenly attacked Ziauddin and chopped him with sharp weapons while he was crossing the area riding on a rickshaw in the evening, leaving him dead on the spot.
Later, the criminals exploded several numbers of crude bombs and fled the area, leaving the rickshaw-puller severely injured.
The rickshaw puller was taken to Bogra Medical College Hospital, said police.
