Robbers looted gold and silver ornaments from a jewellery shop in the city’s Tantibazar area on Monday.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kotwali Police Station Shah Alam said a group of bandits, numbering 3-4, stormed into “Mandira Boliya Store” at 34/1 Kotwali Road around 2pm after creating panic by exploding several crude bombs, reports UNB.
Later, the gangsters looted gold and silver ornaments from the shop and made away with the booty, the OC quoted employees of the jewellery shop as saying. No case was filed as of filing this report in the evening.
