Lawyer Shishir Kona, daughter of Attorney General Mahbubey Alam, on Tuesday received death threats trough a letter which was sent by one Islami Rokkhakari Dal, police said.
Shishir filed a GD around 10:30pm with Shahbagh police station, Abdul Jalil, inspector (investigation) confirmed to the Dhaka Tribune.
Jalil said she received the letter at her residence around 6pm. The letter, which was inside a yellow envelop was received by the security guard at her residence in Segun Bagicha area.
It reads: “Death sentences have been awarded to you, your husband, and your parents. Wrap yourself up in Kafans [burial cloth] and get ready to die.”
The police official said they were investigating the incident and trying to nab the criminals.
