The deceased, constable Abdul Quddus of the Traffic West Division of the city police, died on Wednesday morning at Chittagong Medical College Hospital.

Police said Abdul Quddus seized an illegal battery-run autorickshaw from the Rasmoni Ghat area under Pahartali Police Station on Friday night and was taking it to the Mansurabad dumping station, accompanied by the driver.
