A Dhaka court placed Oishee's friend Asaduzzaman Jony on a five-day remand in police custody on Thursday.
Metropolitan Magistrate Asaduzzaman Noor passed the order in reply to a police petition of 10 days of remand.
Detective police Inspector Abu Al Khayer Matubbar produced Jony and sought 10 days of remand from court.
Jony, alias Rony, was arrested from capital's Badda area on Wednesday night after a month of hiding.
On August 16, police recovered the bodies of Oishee’s parents – Special Branch inspector Mahfuzur Rahman and Swapna Rahman – from their Chamelibagh residence in the capital.
Oishee surrendered to the police confessing to the killing, but later retracted the confession.
She said that her mothers’ strictness, and supply of drugs from friend Jony and his wife Irin, pushed her life onto a different track.
