Police on early Wednesday arrested four robbers with two shutter guns from a village in Sailkupa of the district.
The arrestees are Shipon, Jillur Rahman, Abu Sayeed and Ripon hail from village Boalia under Sailkupa upazila in Jhenaidah.
Anwar Hossain, officer in charge of Sailkupa police station said they were preparing to rob a house of Ratidanga village of the Upazila at around 1am.
Villagers suspected the youth were robber and held them with the arms before they managed to flee.
