A boy was killed by a speedy passenger in the city’s New Eskaton Road Sunday.
The boy was identified as Mehedi Hasan Munna, 13, son of Mohammad Mahbub of Shibchar in Madaripur district.
Munna, an employee of motor parts shop ‘Baby Motors’ of New Eskaton Road in Ramna police station, used to reside with his mother Helena Begum at 24 New Eskaton Road. Helena has been working as a domestic help in the house.
Mohammad Razu, owner of Baby Motors, said Munna left the shop to meet his mother. When he reached in front of Sohagh community centre, near Bangla Motor, a speedy passenger bus of Road no-6 hit him at about 3 pm.
Munna was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at about 3:50 pm.
