A murder case has been filed against 321 people, including former state minister for disaster management and relief Enamur Rahman, in Savar over the death of a student on August 5.
Md Alamgir, the father of the student named Sajjad Hossain, filed the case on Monday.
A student of Sonargaon Polytechnic Institute in Narayanganj, Sajjad lived with his family in South Aukpara of Savar.
He hailed from Paschim Patwari Para of Ward No 10 under Syedpur Municipality in Nilphamari.
According to the complaint, on August 5, Sajjad Hossain went to the Savar bus stand area to buy some items. At the time, he was shot during an agitation in the area. He was taken to Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar, where he died on August 6.
Shah Zaman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Savar model police station, said: “A murder case has been lodged in view of the complaint. Further legal action will be taken after investigations."
Among the other accused are General Secretary of the Savar Upazila Awami League and former upazila chairman Manjurul Alam Rajib, and his younger brother Fakhrul Alam Samar.
